Jacob Oresky was born and raised in New York City, a Bronx resident, a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School, State University of New York at Binghamton, and Pace University School of Law. After graduation from law school in 1986 Jacob worked at a small Westchester County law firm that had a diverse practice including general civil litigation, and personal injury law. In less than a year Jacob was handling almost all of the firm's civil matters, and litigating its personal injury actions. A rival firm was so impressed with Jacob's skill and litigation style that a job offer soon followed, and Jacob Oresky then began to practice exclusively in the field of personal injury law.

In 1992 Jacob returned to the Bronx, and opened the Law Office of Jacob Oresky, the predecessor firm of Jacob Oresky & Associates, PLLC. The office was less than luxurious and was located in the basement of a residential building. With 5 personal injury clients to start, the practice was born. The results of these cases proved greatly successful and led to the recommendation of many more clients and the growth of the firm.

In 1993, with continued success, the firm moved to new headquarters located at 155 East 149th Street, Bronx, New York. With victory after victory Jacob Oresky & Associates, PLLC grew in staff and square footage taking over both floors of the building where its Bronx Office is located, and opening an Office in Queens, New York. With over 1,000 satisfied clients, and numerous multimillion dollar results for clients, Jacob Oresky & Associates, PLLC., has become one of the most successful and dynamic practices in New York City.
