Alex Stepankovskiy is an Associate at Oresky & Associates and represents injured accident victims in construction accidents, automobile accidents, trips an falls, as well as other general liability cases. In college, Alex was a Division 1 athlete and a member of the swim team at Stoney Brook University. He brings his competitive background to all aspects of civil litigation representing individuals who have been injured as a result of the negligence of others. Alex dedicates himself to hard work and detailed preparation both inside and outside of the courtroom. He is devoted to helping his clients reach the best possible results through his zealous and assertive approach.
Prior to joining Oresky & Associates, Alex worked in the Office of the Corporation Counsel defending civil rights and personal injury actions against the City of New York and its employees. Alex served as Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Special State Law Enforcement Defense Unit, where he was lead counsel on over 100 cases in Kings County Supreme Court. As a member of several trial teams, he defended the City of New York and the New York City Police Department in multiple high-profile false arrest and excessive force cases.
Alex, a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, New York graduated from New York Law School in 2016. He was at the top of his class and a member of Law Review. He graduated from Stony Brook University in 2013 with a Master of Business Administration, concentrating in finance and management while competing as a Division I athlete on the swim team.
