Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Semel-Weinstein managed a construction litigation team at a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in Manhattan. He handled many significant construction related accident cases that resulted in multiple-million dollar settlements for his clients.
In the past year, Mr. Semel-Weinstein’s hard work and determination resulted in the following notable settlements for his clients:
An injured construction worker claimed that he fell from a height due to the defendants’ failure to provide a safety line. This case settled for $6.25 million;
An injured construction worker claimed that he was struck by an unsecured falling object, which resulted in the worker falling from a scaffold. This case settled for $2.5 million;
After defeating defendants’ motion to dismiss plaintiff’s complaint, an injured construction worker who was struck by an unsecured falling object received a favorable settlement. This case settled for $2.85 million.
Prior to defendants’ filing a motion for summary judgment, a settlement was negotiated on behalf of an injured construction worker who fell from a ladder. This case settled for $3 million;
An injured worker alleged that he fell from a scaffold at public school. This case settled for $2.25 million.
